Introductions

Hello and welcome! My name is Jane Knoll and I am a student in the bookbinding program at Boston’s North Bennet Street School.

The primary function of this blog will be to organize and share my bookwork and research—hopefully this will include highlights from my personal library, books I’m repairing, and new binding projects. I have found the blogs of other bookbinders, book historians, and conservators to be a wonderful source of information, whether casual or academic, and I hope to provide a similar experience—and due to the pandemic, I have plenty of time for research.

I also hope to study Italian bookbinding terms by making most of the posts available in Italian as well as English.
